Are the lawn games suitable for children?
Yes, the games are great for kids but children under 18 must be supervised by an appropriate adult.
How long is a hire period ?
24 or 48 hours but if you would like a different hire period, just let us know and we'll always try to be as flexible as possible.
Do you deliver and collect the lawn games ?
Yes, there is a delivery & collection charge per mile of travel.
Alternatively you are very welcome to collect and return lawn games to our base in Plymouth.
What about setting up the lawn games?
There is a £50 charge (dependent on location and availability) for setting up and taking down the lawn games, alternatively you may prefer to do it yourself as the games are simple to set up.
Are the lawn games manned?
No, the beauty of these traditional games is that they are so simple we can leave them for you and your guests to enjoy.
How do I make a booking?
Just give us a call or send us an email and we’ll send you a quote by email. Once you're 100% happy with the quote, we'll send details of how to book.
A lot of our bookings are for weddings games and are made months in advance so our advice would be to make your booking as early as you can.
However, we do sometimes have lawn games available at short notice so it’s always worth contacting us to ask about availability.
How do I pay?
We ask for a 50% deposit, payable within 3 days of booking to secure the booking.
The balance is payable 30 days before the hire date along with the Damage deposit– we advise the amount of the deposit when we quote and we aim to refund the Damage deposit (less any damage or replacement costs) within 24 hours of the games being returned.
We’ll send you a gentle reminder just before they're due.
Bookings made within 30 days of the hire date are payable in full at the time of booking.
Payment is by bank transfer or cheque, please.
What happens if I need to cancel my booking?
Bookings cancelled more than 30 days before the hire is due to start will forfeit only the deposit.
Bookings cancelled 30 days or less before the booking will forfeit the deposit and will be charged a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the total booking cost.
What about if something gets damaged?
Our vintage games may have the odd sign of use.
If any other damage occurs during the hire, we’ll try to repair the item to keep the costs (payable by the hirer) as low as possible.
If items are lost or damaged beyond economical repair payment is due within 10 days of us letting you know.
What about insurance?
Vintage Fun & Games holds Public Liability Insurance.
